The traditional public high school isn’t for everyone. That’s why NDHS offers the Second Chance Academy. This Academy accommodates students who are experiencing difficulties with the routine of traditional public schools. To enroll in the Second Chance Academy, a student must be 16, have dropped out, or be at-risk of dropping out, from high school.

The Second  Chance Academy students are young people who have goals and dreams like all of us. However, they may have encountered challenges along the way that made them put their aspirations aside. Our students may face a variety of issues every day, but still desire to better themselves with a high school diploma.

The unique curriculum used at the Second Chance Academy combines academics with test taking strategies and skills to be successful graduates. In addition, because of its unique location, New Dimensions’ Second Chance Academy students can have a flexible schedule to allow students to work at the Radisson World Gate Resort while attending school. The Academy operates throughout the academic calendar year; students may work at the Radisson throughout the year. The program is individualized for each student to progress at his or her own pace.
