Coach Gassert was born and raised right here in Kissimmee, FL. He attended and graduated from Pine Castle Christian Academy where he was a five year letter winner for varsity basketball. Coach Gassert went on to play basketball at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA where his career was cut short due to several knee operations. He graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University where he majored in Business Management and earning his Bachelor�s Degree in 2008.

Coach Gassert will be entering his fourth season as a boys varsity basketball coach. He spent two years at City of Life Christian Academy as the head coach and Athletic Director. In the 2009 - 2010 season, Coach Gassert had the opportunity to serve under the state champion head coach Mark Rickman at Pine Castle Christian Academy in Orlando, FL.
 
Coach Gassert began his teaching career in 2007 at City of Life Christian Academy as the Physical Education department leader/teacher, and athletic director. At City of Life Coach Gassert was able to expand the athletic department, and achieve District Championship�s within the athletic department.
 
Coach Gassert is beginning his first year with New Dimensions High School, teaching Physical Education, PLATO, and will be the head boy�s varsity basketball coach. He is excited about being a part of the New Dimensions High School family, and continuing the spirit of excellence that already exists. Coach Gassert is highly anticipating the upcoming basketball season, and taking last year�s District Championship team, to another District Championship and the FHSAA state tournament!

Coach Gassert�s interests include being around his family, playing basketball, and custom cars. He is a diehard Florida Gators fan, and enjoys attending UF Gators sporting events. His other favorite sport teams would include the Orlando Magic, Dallas Cowboys, and Atlanta Braves.

Coach Gassert is married to Lola Gassert, and has two beautiful children, a one year old daughter Ava Rose Gassert, and a newborn baby boy Draden Lee Gassert. Coach Gassert and his family live locally here in Kissimmee, FL.
