Mrs. Alford

Mrs. Alford was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has lived in Wisconsin, Kansas, and Florida. After high school, she attended the University of West Florida, graduating with a BA in English. Her concentration was literary critical theory. She and her husband of two years moved to Poinciana, Florida in 2007 so that she could become part of the faculty of New Dimensions High School. In 2009, they were blessed with a beautiful baby boy.

Mrs. Alford has taught English II, English II Honors, English III, English III Honors, and AP Literature. She sponsors the New Dimensions High School chapter of the National Honor Society, a select group of students who have a high academic drive, are service oriented, and exhibit excellent character. She believes that all students have the chance to succeed if they have a solid support structure in school and the motivation to better themselves. She is looking forward to teaching English IV this coming year and guiding the students in their final Senior Project.
